For this demo, I used Helium 10 as my go-to product research tool.
It’s one of the most reliable platforms out there for finding demand, checking competition, and analyzing product opportunities. Plus, its database is massive and updated frequently.
I started my search in three categories I like to work with:
Kitchen & Dining, Office Products, and Patio, Lawn & Garden. These usually have a mix of simple products that are easy to manufacture and ship.

Filters I Used:
- Minimum Price: $50
- Max Review Count: 100
- Minimum Monthly Revenue: $5,000
After scanning through the results, one product immediately stood out:
Niche Found!
Flower Display Stand

Why this one?
It checks all the boxes. Here’s what Helium 10 showed me:

- Price: $139
- Monthly Sales: 88
- Monthly Revenue: $12,000
- Review Count: only 86
- Poor images (only 6, low quality)
- No PPC ads running
- No A+ content
Basically: tons of room for improvement. If we launch a well-optimized version with better photos and copy, we can absolutely outrank the current seller.
Now for the numbers.
Profit Breakdown
First I need to check the cost price, so I quickly pull up Alibaba.com and look for the product:

Ok, only $31, with some negotiating we can probably get this down even more. Now we can run the numbers!
- Selling Price: $139
- Amazon FBA Fees: $39
- Product Cost (via Alibaba): $30
- Estimated Shipping (per unit): $5
- Gross Profit: $65 per sale
Multiply that by 88 units/month (leaving some margin for returns or slow days), and we’re looking at:
65 x 88 = $5,720/month profit.
From one product.
And that’s without even negotiating with the supplier yet.
This is why solid product research matters.
When you use the right filters and a proven tool like Helium 10, it’s only a matter of time before you find a product like this—simple, profitable, and wide open for improvement.
