What would you say about wholesaling and using Amazon FBA? Is it a good idea, and how well does it stack up compared to private labeling?
I don’t have that much wholesale experience (only have done a couple of wholesale products). But the main difference I found is time:
- Wholesale requires less startup time before you can make a profit. You can directly buy from the wholesale supplier and have the product selling at Amazon in like a week time. Where with private label it will take about 3 months to design, manufacture & ship your products.
- However, with wholesale you will constantly have to monitor your products ( are other people undercutting me?). Where with private label you are the only seller for the product. So once you have your product setup and selling it is way more hands off.
